A view over the lake on Pete's Airgun Farm

Wild Camping with Family or Friends

Practice your survival skills, get back to nature, take the kids on an adventure or just get away from civilisation for a while… You can do it on Pete’s farm with breathtaking scenery and plenty of activities to choose from (Particularly shooting!!)

Use one of our shelters…

Using traditional bush craft techniques, we’ve built permanent natural shelters that you can use with either lakeside or woodland locations. With campfire pits, hammocks and a few creature comforts, we haven’t overdone the facilities as that would defeat the point!

There are currently four of these hand-built shelters: Woodland, South Lake, North Lake and Brookside. If you’ve been here before you might know these places and if not, rest assured, they’re beautiful spots.

Or, build your own…

You don’t have to use our shelters though, you can go all ‘Ray Mears’ if you like and pitch you tent in amongst the rabbit warrens or best pigeon ‘sitty’ trees or build your own shelter from scratch — this is a great team building excercise or the perfect activity if you’re out on your own with the kids on a great, wild adventure.

A little comfort…

If it suits you, we do have a basic shower, washroom and toilet back at the farmyard which you are free to use at any time. Also, if you’ve already gone off the idea of going wild, we also offer a range of ‘no-frills’ accommodation at the farm which you can find out more about here…

You must always check with Pete on arrival where it is and isn’t safe or OK to light camp fires.

OK. I want to come…
