Airgun Farm status during the COVID-19 pandemic

Whilst we will are not yet fully open, the outdoor and indoor ranges are currently available to use. There are limits on what can reasonably and safely be achieved. This page aims to outline the current state of the services and facilities at this time. If you have any questions or concerns that aren't answered here, please get in touch and we will endeavour to answer them.

Who can come?

Existing members are welcome as usual subject to the changes outlined below. New, prospective members can be provided an introduction by arrangement. If you want to join, please get in touch well in advance.

Capacity has been reduced by about 80% in the ranges to facilitate social distancing.

We are not accepting groups with the exception that people from the same household may come and shoot together.

What can we do at the farm?

  • Metal Detecting is permitted on the farm.
  • Shooting and archery in all the ranges is also permitted.
  • We will fill dive cylinders by appointment only.
  • We can now introduce new members for shooting and metal detecting.

What is closed / not permitted?

  • Camping
  • The shop will remain closed (However, it may be possible to purchase items by special arrangement)
  • Groups (Other than small groups of people from the same household)
  • Access to fields and farmland unless you're metal detecting

Changes to pricing

Range Fees

  • £20 per person during the day (No time limit)
  • £15 per person after 5pm (Evening session - no time limit)
  • Under 18's shooting with a full-paying adult are admitted for half-price
  • Blue-badge holders are entitled to a £2 discount on the above prices

Metal Detecting & Other solo outdoor activities

  • Day Rate: £20

Cylinder Filling

If you need your cylinder filling, please call in advance of your visit to book in.

  • 3, 4, 5 litre: £10
  • 7 litre: £12
  • 12 litre: £15

Changes to Payment

We still accept cash payment on the following basis: The correct amount must be placed in an envelope with you name, car registration and time of arrival clearly printed on the front of the envelope, then posted in the usual place.

We also accept a BACS transfer to our account number 11899909 with sort code 16-16-12. The recipient (company name) is “EB Mallett Ltd”. Please also provide something as the reference that can help identify your payment such as your name, or your car registration plate.

To avoid face-to-face payment, card payments and contactless payments are not currently being accepted.

You will need to bring with you:

  • Your own personal protective equipment such as face mask or gloves for example
  • Disinfectant spray/wipes to sanitise your bench before and after shooting
  • Your payment, if paying by cash

Toilets

We have built outdoor toilet facilities that are suitable for standing only and that are 'touch free' without doors. To use the main toilet block you will need to ask for the key.

Finally…

We would ask all of our customers to observe social distancing at all times and remain respectful of other people’s and staff members personal space.
